Planning For San Francisco & Napa - Tay Meets World

Planning For San Francisco & Napa

5:00:00 AM

I've only been on a handful of "vacations," but they were usually planned and orchestrated by my family and my siblings and I bickered the entire time. Aside from my solo vacations to the west coast last year, trip to Alaska, and Mexican fiesta, this just another vacation to add to the handful I've been on. One thing I love about planning a vacation is the research that comes with it. I like itineraries, knowing where we are going and what we are doing, having lunch options and pleasant places to stay. There is nothing worse then spending your entire vacation trying to find someplace to eat or getting lost and spending the entire day trying to figure out where to go.
Over the past couple of weeks I've compiled a few "must-go" places and things to do. As the countdown continues, I am in desperate need of more recommendations - share your ideas below!
The plan is to spend 2.5 days in San Francisco and 2 days in Napa, I mean, how much wine can one drink? I've scoured some of my favorite blogs in search of hole-in-the-wall restaurants, coffee shops, and attractions. If only I had an unlimited amount of time to explore every inch of the city but PTO is limited as is my wallet.

San Francisco
Coffee: Jane, Blue Bottle Coffee Co, & Wrecking Ball Coffee Roasters
Restaurants: Wayfare Tavern and Pier 23
Things To See & Do: Marin Headlands, Union Square, Bernal Heights Park, Presido View Of Golden Gate Bridge

Napa Valley
Wineries: Artesa Winery, Chandon (so excited for this one!), Nickel & Nickel, Frog's Leap, and      Round Pond Estate
Activities: Bike Rental, Winery Hopping, Spa Day
Restaurants: Farmstead, Fremont Diner, Goose and Gander

If you've been to San Francisco or wine country please share any great places to eat, wineries to visit, or things to see. Ideas are welcomed!
