Spring Staples - Tay Meets World

Spring Staples

There are a few pieces that I always gravitate towards in the spring - florals, utility/military jackets, and cropped denim. I wanted to re-create a similar look I did last year - they key to transitioning into spring is layering with light pieces and adding color! In my opinion, spring is the season for pulling out all those "staple" pieces in your closet and re-creating them year after year. Whether you are adding a new floral scarf, updating the jewelry you pair with the look, or adding a new texture (this season is all about velvet) this is a fairly easy season to transition into.

I love scarves, especially floral ones. It's much more budget-friendly if you add smaller trendy pieces to your wardrobe, such as a scarf, rather than add new tops/pants/etc. I definitely like the idea of having a capsule wardrobe and adding different trendy pieces as you go. On days where I have "clothing fits" or feel like I have nothing to wear, I always go back to the basics!

This week I finish up my final days at my current job. It's been the best learning experience but I am super excited to say that I will have more time to devote here. I am a firm believer that life is short and you should live it to its fullest, and do what makes you happy. See the world, try new things, meet more people, take tons of pictures - before you know it, life will catch up and you'll wonder where the time has gone. So, I decided to take my own advice and take a risk. I know there will be hiccups, road bumps, and major crashes along the way but that is how you learn about yourself.
