Dream Travel Destinations - Tay Meets World

Dream Travel Destinations

Spring is finally starting to sprout here in Iowa and I have the itch to travel again. This time last year, I was prepping for my first trip abroad. We visited 5 countries in three weeks and over 20 cities and towns. The memories and culture that I was able to experience was priceless.
While I'm not sure if I'm traveling abroad again anytime soon, I definitely have a list of places that I would love to visit in the next couple of years. I would ideally love to travel everywhere,  but that list is too long to share so I narrowed it down to my top 10 places. These are the destinations I would like to visit in the next few years, some are abroad and others are here in the U.S, anyplace I visit, I know it will be incredibly memorable.
1. New York City, NY: Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamt about visiting New York City around Christmas time. I want to see the Nutcracker, visit Rockefeller Center to look at the tree and go ice skating, attend the Rockets Christmas Spectacular, and walk past all the holiday store fronts. This would literally be a dream. Crossing my fingers that this year will be the year❤️.

2. Nantucket, MA - I have this thing for east coast beaches, lighthouses, blooming hydrangeas, and seafood. I've read so much about this spectacular island and I would love to try sailing for the first time here!

3. Charleston, SC - It wasn't long after one of my favorite bloggers moved here that this destination moved to the top of my list. I have never been to the Carolinas and I think this would be such a fun place to start. It looks so rich with color and blooming flowers, a different landscape then what the midwest provides.

4. Maui, HI - It's been about five years since my last "tropical" vacation and this is long overdue. Last, but certainly not least on my top places to visit in the U.S would be Hawaii. I will find myself scrolling through photos all day looking at the sandy beaches and yummy fruit stands Maui has to offer. Um, ticket please!

5. London, England - The next European trip wouldn't be complete without visiting London. Circa 2001 when Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson's movie "Winning London" movie premiered, I've wanted to go ever since. Also, since I'm a wedding planner maybe, just maybe, I can convince Meghan Markle to hire me to be the day of coordinator for her wedding!

6. Provence & French Riviera, France - We visited a lot of Northern France, I know want to travel south. I've read incredible books and articles about the French Riviera and Southern France - it looks too beautiful to be real.

7. Amalfi Coast, Italy - My mother visited the Almafi Coast last year and had nothing but amazing things to say. The culture, food and architecture in Italy looks stunning.

8. Tuscany & Portofino, Italy - Italy is one of my top dream travel destinations in Europe. I want to see everything from Rome to Tuscany, Portofino and the Amalfi Coast (and everything in between). Maybe I take a month and visit the whole country?!

9. Germany - To my surprise, Bacharach Germany was my second favorite place I visited in Europe (Paris being the first). I loved the German landscape. The Rhine River is absolutely breathtaking and our two hour ferry ride from town to town was the best travel money spent. I would love to visit more of Germany, the small towns and larger cities. The food was phenomenal and the people incredible.

10. Bali, Indonesia - Elephants, temples, beaches, and Indonesian food - who can say no to that. I have an Aunt that travels the world and raves about the Indonesia/Thailand area. She says the culture is so rich and authentic, and she's had some of her best experiences there!

Bonus: Dublin, Ireland - Because I couldn't pick just ten. Give me all the plaid, sheep and mountain valleys. This landscape seems to beautiful to look at over the internet!
