Mother's Day is just around the corner - you can see a gift guide that I put together last week with some ideas. I was thinking today about what I wanted to gift my mother and really wanted to support a small business in doing so. Here are some of my favorite small businesses:

1. Grace Rose Farms Roses | Rose Bouquet 
- Home-grown from a farm in California, they ship nationwide and I'm not kidding you when I say these roses are stunning. My mother loves a beautiful floral bouquet, I don't care what anyone says - if they receive flowers it will always put a smile on their face. I know flowers don't last long however, your mother can hang dry these and press them. They can then be framed! Who doesn't love floral art?

2. Up & Away By Maria East | Silk Scarves
Designed by Maria East in Toronto, CA - these silk scarves are sophisticated and gorgeous! I loved the idea of gifting my mother something unique that she wouldn't see many others wearing. Scarves are one of my favorite accessories, tie around your neck, your head, purse, wrist, etc., the options are endless.
3. Hannah Winters Art | Art Prints
My mother and I fell in love with customer art prints in Europe. We made it a point to pick up a unique piece from a local artist in each city we were in. I think smaller, local artists offer such a unique take from the art they create. I love Hannah Winters art prints - this peony print on textured paper is beautiful.
4. Grace Personalized | Initial/Mama Necklaces
The trend these days are adorable initial necklaces for mom! If you have one child, it's usually their first name but 2+ children it's the initials or a simple "mama" necklace. The dainty gold chain makes it easy to wear with a multitude of outfits.
5.  Cupcakes & Cashmere Shop | Fine Jewelry
You can never go wrong with gifting mom jewelry - the Cupcakes & Cashmere Shop has been one of my long time favorites. They have some fun jewels to fine jewels - something for every budget too!
