First off, this dress is technically supposed to be off-the-shoulder. Let me just say that it does not stay off my shoulders! I tried and tried to keep it "down" and it wasn't working. I still think it's cute and even though it's not off my shoulders, the ruffle overlay is cute! Old Navy has been a long time go-to for simple pieces. If I need a dress for a trip or am last minute shopping, I tend to gravitate towards that store. It's not my favorite in terms of quality but most of my pieces hold up very nicely.
For work, my boss recommended a book called Grit. If you are an entrepreneur, business woman, driven by passion, lacking motivation, or just need more pep in your step, you have to read this! I wrote a post awhile ago called "Books for the Dreamer and Doer," this definitely makes the list. It's crazy to realize just how driven by passion and grit I am. I am finding myself wanting to stay at work longer, and having this feeling in my stomach that what I'm doing isn't enough...that I need to do more. The same goes for the blog, notice anything different around here? I was looking for something that was ultra clean and crisp for this newfound phase in my life.
