I love bows - especially on blouses. I picked up this blouse at Target a few weeks ago and have worn it every week since then. It's super cute paired with black pants for work, jeans for a night out, and black denim for a sleek look. Not to mention the price tag is very reasonable at only $24.99! It's been getting pretty cold here so I topped off the look with a wide brim, wool hat - a great accessory you wear into the winter season!
Enzyme Cleansing Gel $14: I use this cleanser daily paired with my Clarisonic. It's super soft on any skin type - making it a great universal cleanser. It's made up of fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids that exfoliate the buildup of dead skin cells. While my skin is may not look soft and supple due to acne scarring - it definitely is because of this cleanser.
Aloe Lotion $15: Astringents can sometimes strip your skin of the natural oils that it needs so it's important to find ones that don't. I use Mario's Aloe Lotion to help reduce redness. My skin is very red after I wash it - which in turn made me layer on a lot more makeup. After I apply this astringent with a cotton pad I can walk away from the mirror for a minute and once I look again, the redness has gone down significantly. Aloe is commonly used to reduce redness in sunburns so of course it reduce red pigmentation on your face!
Oil Free Moisturizer with SPF 30 $28: It's no secret that my skin is oily. I have spent years - YEARS - searching for a moisturizer that hydrated my skin but didn't make it oily AND that had sunscreen in it. This is a lot to ask for from one product but this Oil Free Moisturizer certainly delivers. It has SPF 30 and does not make my skin oily (nor dry out my skin). It's a small bottle but a little goes a long way. A must-try if you struggle with oily skin!
Seaweed Night Cream $22: After cleansing in the evening and following with astringent I apply a facial night cream. This Seaweed Night Cream plumps and softens skin overnight - I wake up with hydrated and dewey skin.
Flower & Tonic Mask $18: This is the best mask for treating breakouts and evening skin tone. I recommend this mask to anyone who has any skin concerns - it's seriously that good!
Have you tried any Mario Badescu products? If so, which ones are your favorite?!
There are four lipsticks that I've had on rotation this fall. They are easy to wear and great basic colors to have in your makeup bag. I've covered all the categories: nude, brown/beige, pink and red. While some of these work all year round, I think these are perfect for the fall season - and transitioning into winter.
1. Nude: My absolute favorite nude is actually a drugstore buy, Maybelline's Super Stay 14 hour lipstick. This color adds a very subtle tint and completes that "barely there" look. I've paired this with almost every outfit, it's that versatile.
2. Brown/Beige: This MAC "Velvet Teddy" is a the similar to the color terracotta. It has subtle pink and orange undertones that work well with my fair skin tone. A bit darker than the nude, it pairs beautifully with warm and rich colors and textures: velvet, browns, oranges, emerald greens and eggplant colors to name a few!
3. Pink: The Fresh Sugar "Petal" pink lip treatment is my absolute favorite. I repeat, it's hands down the best lipstick/treatment/gloss that I've ever owned. I wear this just about everyday - a subtle pink lip treatment makes such a difference than going au natural.
4. Red: I don't wear reds often, mostly around the holidays, but I purchased MAC "Russian Red" and fell in love. This is a brighter red than my normal Chanel lip color that I wear. A very bold statement but pairs perfectly with the season - and of course, the holidays!

There is no shortage of coats in my closet. Being born and raised in the midwest I always had a few coats each year. Now, that I shop for myself my obsession for coats doesn't come lightly. #oops In my opinion, a coat is a statement piece that can pull together an entire look. It's generally cold from November-April so I definitely get use of the coats that I do purchase.
This year, the fall and winter jackets are just too good. Each year I always find a couple that I need (okay, want) in my wardrobe but this year my expectations were blown away. You probably think I'm crazy over here talking about coats but if you live someplace cold - you understand me!!
Below, I've rounded up some coats from previous years along with links to shop this season's styles. I added a section at the bottom that are some favorites of mine that you may or may not see on the blog later this season ;).
Here are some of my favorite trendy coats of the season that can be worn year after year in my opinion!
Note: A LOT of these coats go on sale late November, early December. Most of my coats I but are 60% off or more mid-season. Wait for the great sales!
I have a few different styles of the Lunarlon, but the one thing they have in common are the soles. The Lunarlon cushioning is the absolute best in my opinion. I'm able to run long distances or short, do different agility trainings (i.e. ladders, boxes, kickboxing, etc.) with no foot pain. Not to mention, these are my favorite to wear in the airport because they are incredibly comfortable!
If you're looking for new sneakers, I highly recommend these - or at least recommend you try them on☺️! I have a few other Nike styles but I always find myself gravitating towards the Lunarlon style. There are so many different colors and variations that would pair nicely with athleisure wear or workout wear. Shop the widget above to see the styles!
Oh these boots. I have to admit, I have been afraid of over-the-knee boots. I wasn't sure I could pull them off and I wasn't sure if they would match my style. Boy oh boy was I wrong. The new line at Target, A New Day, has these boots for $44.99 and I thought that was the perfect time to try them out. They were affordable and super cute. Once I slipped them on, all of my fears slipped away - every gal can rock these boots. It doesn't matter what shape or size you are, you can totally pull these off! I styled them with my comfiest pair of skinny jeans and Capio sweater from T.J. Maxx. These would look super cute with faux leather leggings, white denim, black denim, mini skirt, and dress too.
This is one of my favorite sweaters in my closet. I love the flares on the sleeves and the mauve-like color is great for fall. Not to mention, it was only $19.99 at the local T.J.Maxx! Around this time of year is when I gravitate towards stores such as Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls, and T.J., their selection of fall and winter pieces is never a disappointment. I picked up this sweater, a new coat, and new sneakers for a fraction of what they would normally be.
Oh how I love fall. The leaves are finally starting to turn colors here in Iowa. Pumpkins line the door stoops and mums are in full bloom every where you look. The weather is cooler and soups taste more delectable. We went to the pumpkin patch over the weekend, a tradition that I started a few years ago since we didn't go that much when I was a little girl. The pumpkin patch is the tree farm of Christmas - it's a must you attend at least once per season. The smell of kettle corn and homemade apple pie, picking pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, riding hayrides, and seeing all the fall festivities take place is quite the sight.
It was only 58 degrees when we went and fairly windy so I knew I wanted to dress warm. I desperately wanted to wear my Hunter boots but I didn't have a flannel top that matched (pink is not generally a "fall" color). I have been searching high and low for the past two weeks for a flannel that not only had blush pink but also incorporated orange and red. I found nothing until I passed the little girls section in Old Navy. They have the brightest and cutest flannels - and for half the price of women's flannels! I'm wearing a girl's size XL - the sleeves are a little too short but I roll most of flannels anyways so it was win in my book!
I get a lot of looks when I wear my pink Hunter boots. Some may think they look like they were made for little girls but I'm obsessed with them. They are incredibly comfortable and durable; if you've followed me for long then you know that I love the color pink - these boots are the perfect shade!
