I am in desperate need of a new pair of glasses. I've had mine, with the original prescription for about eight years now...yikes! I finally went to the eye doctor awhile back and have been searching for the perfect pair of lenses since. I came across Warby Parker a few years ago and thought it was such a brilliant idea - trying on glasses, at home, for free! It's always a bummer when you see a cute pair online but you have no way of trying them on if you're not near a store...and you'll end up paying for them and the shipping costs.  With Warby Parker, you can choose five frames that they will package and ship to you (for free!) to try on at home. You then have five days to ask friends, pick the style you love and send them back! I'm sharing all five picks and want you to vote on your favorite! See what I picked below: Dislikes: I'm afraid they are too trendy and after awhile I will get sick of them - thoughts?
Likes: I LOVE the color of these - they're a petal tortoise. I think they compliment my skin tone well and they will go with so many items in my closet. Fit: These are very comfortable and fit similar to the Laurel.  Dislikes: I feel like they may be too round for my face. It may be better for me to offset my round facial structure with frames that aren't round. 
Likes: Hands down my favorite part about these frames is the color - rose crystal. I'm a sucker for all things pink💕. Fit: These are comfortable but I wish they were a wider frame, hence the "small" at the end of the name."  Dislikes: Unfortunately the fit, but maybe I'm just being self conscious of my round facial structure?
Likes: The chunkiness (for lack of a better term) of these frames is what immediately caught my eye.  Fit: Again, the fit is comfortable. Dislikes: I am having the same issue with these as I did the Eugene...feeling as though they are too small for my face. 
Likes: Again with the tortoise, need I say more? Oh, and the gold detailing is the cherry on top of the cake.  Fit: Very comfortable! Dislikes: Round shape is deterring me away from the Mona - let me know what you think below!
Okay so there you have it, five frames, five decisions to make. This is like the glasses version of the Bachelorette. Happy Valentine's Day Friends! While many may think this is a day where you have to have a significant other, I've taken a different approach over the years. It's so important, I've learned, to show yourself love. I love treating myself on this day, whether it's with a new pair of shoes, flowers, or indulging in delicious food (umm, hello chocolate covered strawberries).   The societal standard is to find the right person, fall in love, get married, have babies, work an 8-5 job and live happily ever after. What if it went more like this: find self-love, love yourself, then do whatever the heck you want! Valentine's Day isn't to make you feel bad that you don't have a significant other, or that you're not married and don't have kids. In my eyes, it's to give you a colorful reminder to put yourself first. Once that love is found - you have everything you need to conquer the rest.  

I have been waiting months for my "cloffice" to be finished. I have become the type of person where if I can't find the perfect piece of furniture or decor then I just do without until I find it. I used to find myself buying things that I just ended up getting rid of or selling. While I would love to have a completed space for everyday use, it's just not worth the hassle (or money) to use products that I don't love.
I updated the space a few months ago with a fresh coat of paint and have since then, been scouring the internet for the perfect desk. I fell totally in love with the SugarPaper LA desk that launched at Target, but it sold out before I could even blink. I have found similar options but all are incredibly out of my budget. Thankfully, over the weekend I received a great alternative option that I'm super happy with (for a fraction of the cost I might add)!
You might remember that the before looked a little something light this:
I used a standing rack to hang all of my clothes - I have very limited space and I have to store all of my spring and summer pieces when not in season, and vice versa. The room is already very small and the clothing rack, with the added shelves of shoes and vanity was completely taking over the space. Not to mention, I was working on a small writing desk and I ended up never using it! I went through my clothes and sort of "winter cleaned" - I purged the pieces I haven't worn in a year and I stored some pieces that didn't need to be out. I then consolidated it all in the closet in the room.

There are a few more things I wish to add for the space to feel "complete":
1. Rug - The carpet in my rental house is awful so naturally I want to cover it. Rugs, in my opinion, are the perfect way to tie a room together - they can make or break your space. I have a major crush on this rug but with the $1,000 price tag I simply cannot afford it. If you know of something similar, comment below!
2. Statement Lamp - While I love my little gold lamp from Target, it's just that - little. It doesn't really fill the space and now that I have a larger desk, I can upgrade to a larger lamp. How amazing are these Kate Spade lamps?!
3. Wall Decor - I definitely need something on the wall over my desk. I don't know if I should find a really cool piece of art, arrange a gallery wall, or buy a large acrylic calendar like this one. What do you think?
4. Bench I need a small bench to the right of my vanity under the window. You know, the drop place for all clothes that are too dirty to hang up but clean enough to still wear🙈
5. Makeup Organization - I've been on the hunt for a good acrylic makeup organizer. One that's not too big but will hold all of my makeup. I used to keep everything in a bag and get ready in the bathroom but I'm trying to consolidate it all and get ready in one room!

I love this time of year. Mostly because there is pink and red everywhere and I have the perfect excuse to shower myself with flowers and chocolate❤️. Ever since I was a little girl my mom always made a huge deal about Valentine's Day. She would buy my sister and I the cutest Valentine gifts and we would take our annual Valentine's trip to Target to pick out Valentines for the class. I always put so much thought into decorating my Valentine's box at school - then I would read everyone's Valentine very carefully and thank each of them.
