Must-Have Jewelry For Spring - Tay Meets World

Must-Have Jewelry For Spring

10:36:00 AM

If you read yesterday's post, I talked about recreating looks from last year with pieces you already own and adding jewels, a scarf, or new top to give it a refresh. I found it only fitting to talk about some of my favorite jewelry today. Accessories are the simple most way to add some pizazz to your outfit. Any plain jane dress can be taken to a new level with the right jewels. I love collecting pieces that I consider "staples" but also pieces that are ultra unique and vibrant. In my opinion, you should express yourself with the jewelry you wear whether it be watches, necklaces, earrings, or bracelets.

For business or pleasure these pieces are very versatile. I have a few gold necklaces and most of my earrings are gold. Watches and bracelets or bangles are great to add to the mix as well. These are pieces that you can add to any outfit and will compliment it nicely. When it doubt, always reach for these pieces!
 2 // Strand of Pearls
Pearls are the most timeless and classic piece of jewelry you can own. I have one strand that is long but I can double layer it - adding to it's versatility. I can honestly say that 90% of the time I reach for pearls. I love the elegance of them and they work with so many outfits. If you can make the investment in a simple strand - I highly recommend it!
I love statement earrings - it's definitely my weakness when purchasing jewelry. Reason why? I feel like earrings are easier to pair with more outfits. I hate having necklaces that sit in my jewelry box that I have only worn once - all of my earrings have been worn multiple times. Places like BaubleBar, J.Crew, Banana Republic, and Target (the new SugarFix collection) are great places to find fun statement earrings!
Your hands look prettier dressed up - it's just the truth. A good manicure and dainty rings take your hands from blah to fab in an instant. I recently picked up these rings from Banana and I love them! The best part of having a few different options is you can mix and match, wear one, or wear multiple - your hand is your oyster!
5 // Jewelry That Gives Back
My mom gave my sister and I necklaces (pictured below) for Christmas that were made by women in Kenya. If you read Project Have Hope - it's a wonderful program that helps women gain education and learn skills about business - empowering them. Not to mention, the jewelry is beautiful.

Share some of your favorite jewelry below - I'm always looking to add to my collection!
