It's no secret that I have had my fair share of skin issues. It is also no secret that I have tried hundreds of skin products to try and correct these issues. There are some products such as Bioelements, Clarisonic, and Biore that have worked…but nothing made a significant difference. If I had the funds to get chemical peels or microdermabrasion, I would. I am stuck (like most people) trying to figure out how to correct my skin issues the old fashioned way, with products you can buy from the store that don't break the bank.

It wasn't too long ago that I decided to try Mario Badescu. I had heard another blogger rave about the products and how they especially helped with acne and scarring. I decided to give a few products a try and it's amazing the difference I can already see.

I am noticing less breakouts, a reduction in discoloration, and my scarring/forehead wrinkles are starting to diminish. I have only tried three products from the line, but I can't wait to get my hands on some more.

1 // The first product is the Enzyme Cleansing Gel. This gel helps remove makeup, surface debris, and dead skin that cause pimples and blackheads. My skin has seen a significant reduction in breakouts and it feels very clean after I wash my face. I have also noticed that my skin is not as dull as it used to be. With my lack of sleep with the new puppy, the face wash pick-me-up is just what I need to look rejuvenated in the morning!

2 // I also bought the Special Healing Powder. I ran out of Mineral Veil a couple months back and I decided to give this powder a try. Not only does this take care of my oily t-zone, but it helps prevent breakouts. I love this powder. I would note that a little goes a long way and I do consistently use this throughout the day as needed. This product has talc, a powder that helps fight t-zone shine and balance the oil in my skin. The photos below don't necessarily do the product justice, but you can see in the after photo, my skin is more even and less shiny.
3 // The last product I use is the Whitening Mask. This is my favorite I have tried so far. The Whitening Mask works to reduce the appearance of dark spots and seal in nutrients that your skin needs. (Oh, and it smells heavenly!) It brightens your skin along with minimizing acne scars and discoloration. I am so amazed with how well this mask works. It's almost as if I can breathe a sigh of relief. I am no longer as worried about my skin when I go out in public or to work. I definitely feel better with a reduction in breakouts and scarring!

I have tried so many numerous products and I have given up so many times on my face. If you are struggling with acne or scarring I recommend you try this line. Remember that all skin types are different and what works for me, might not work for you, but it's worth a try.
